Concerned Bass Anglers of V.A.

The official Mission Statement of the Concerned Bass Anglers of Virginia:

The CBAVA wants to protect, conserve and improve bass fisheries by offering proactive solutions to known issues, acting as a representative liason between anglers, the Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries and other legislative groups.

The CBAVA will uphold its Mission Statement by working toward realizing the following goals:

  1. Purchasing largemouth bass for stocking troubled Virginia fisheries using a variety of fund raising activities.
  2. Recommending methods to protect and improve Virginia's fisheries to the VDGIF.
  3. Educating Virginia's anglers on how to better handle and release largemouth bass.

The CBAVA's immediate method of raising funds to purchase largemouth bass is via private donations from similarly concerned anglers and corporations, however, we are open to suggestions and plan on doing habitat restoration projects as needed around Virginia in the coming years.
